ALTHOUGH THE LENSES THAT LIBERATE IS THE PRIMARY MAP AND MODEL i USE IN MY WORK,
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU FAMILARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE EACH OF THE SYSTEMS BELOW,
AS EACH ONE OF THEM OFFER A UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE on self and other.
Each of these models support the Lenses that liberate in a unique way,
providing a more comprehensive PATH TO HEALING AND awakening.

The Lenses that Liberate model is an integrative system for embodied awakening and profound healing and transformation. In order for embodied awakening and true lasting growth and healing to occur in our lives, we must activate and integrate many different ways of relating to our experience, The Lenses That Liberate model invites us to explore and embody these different ways of relating to our experience through seven distinct lenses, namely ; (1) The Sage: Tasting the Ground of Being; (2) The Nurturer: Finding Deep Rest and Nourishment; (3) The Warrior: Building Stability and Resilience; (4) The Alchemist: Transmuting the Shadow; (5) The Shaman: Opening the Subtle Body; (6) The Seer: Unraveling the Mind and (7) The Mystic: Activating the Sacred Body.

THE ENNEAGRAM

The Ennegram.jpg

The Enneagram is a system of personality typing that describes patterns in how people conceptualize the world and manage their emotions. The Enneagram model describes nine different personality types and maps each of these types on a nine-pointed diagram which helps to illustrate how the types relate to one another. The name Enneagram comes from the Greek: Ennea is the Greek word for nine and Gramma means something that’s drawn or written.

According to the Enneagram, every personality has a certain world view and looks at the world through their own lens or filter. This makes it possible to explain why people behave in certain ways. By describing how the basic personality adapts and responds to both stressful and supportive situations, the Enneagram shows opportunities for personal development and provides a foundation for the understanding of others.

SPIRAL DYNAMICS

Spiral dynamics is a psychological model that highlights stages of development specifically around values. This hierarchy of value structures consists of eight levels that individuals express in their psychological life. These eight stages are developmental in that we grow through these stages. Society itself has evolved through these stage structures as well.

CHARACTER STRUCTURE

Character Structures.jpg

Character Structure is a system of secondary traits that are manifested in the specific ways that an individual relates and reacts to others, to various kinds of stimuli, and to the environment. A child whose nurture and/or education cause them to have conflict between legitimate feelings, living in an illogical environment and interacting with adults who do not take the long-term interests of the child to heart will be more likely to form these secondary traits. In this manner the child blocks the unwanted emotional reaction that would have normally occurred. Although this may serve the child well while in that dysfunctional environment, it may also cause the child to react in inappropriate ways, by developing alternate ways in which the energy compulsively surfaces, ways damaging to his or her own interests, when interacting with people in a completely independent environment. Major trauma that occurs later in life, even in adulthood, can sometimes have a profound effect on character. See post-traumatic stress disorder. However, character may also develop in a positive way according to how the individual meets the psychosocial challenges of the life cycle.
